On behalf of the Board of Directors for SK Livestock Finance Co-operative (SKLF), I am excited to share our first update with you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have been working diligently over the past few months to form the new co-op that will replace the Ministry of Agriculture\u2019s Livestock Loan Guarantee Program. We are so proud of the progress we\u2019ve made to date and look forward to providing you with regular updates as we progress in the months ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last month we selected a financial institution to partner with us to offer SKLF\u2019s new feeder\/breeder financing programs for both cattle and bison. We are close to finalizing the details of our agreement with this institution and will share more information with you as soon as its been finalized. We are also in the final stages of developing a package for Livestock Supervisors to provide when they complete their spring checks, which will include information about SKLF, answers to frequently asked questions and a membership application forms. In addition, we are in the process of hiring SKLF\u2019s General Manager who will be responsible for running the provincial co-operative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SKLF\u2019s website is up and running and can be found at www.sklivestockfinance.ca<\/a>. We will be regularly updating the website as more information becomes available, so please check back often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are confident that SKLF\u2019s financing programs will be very competitive and attractive to our members.
