SK Livestock Finance Co-operative Ltd. (SKLF) was established in 2019 with the vision of growing Saskatchewan’s livestock industry by providing innovative, affordable and competitive financing options for Saskatchewan producers. The member-owned co-operative is pleased to offer the following financing programs:
Feeder Cattle: 12 months, 5% deposit, Prime + 0.50% interest*
Breeder Cattle: 5 years, 10% deposit, Prime + 0.75% interest*
Feeder Bison: 18 months, 5% deposit, Prime + 0.50% interest*
Breeder Bison: 6 year, 10% deposit, Prime + 0.75% interest*

Our history
The Livestock Loan Guarantee Program was launched in 1984. Initially focused on enabling loans for feeder cattle, the breeder lending option was added soon after in 1991. The LLG successfully operated for 35 years and was wound down effective July 31, 2019. The LLG program, at the time of wind down, had 45 active associations around the province of Saskatchewan that assisted in administering the provincial program.
